I can hardly wait to get these seeds in the ground. I love fall. It's my favorite season. I've been planning on growing a pumpkin patch on this property for a long time. For our fall show we should have quite a selection if all goes well. The deer are my biggest worry but I've seen a couple great patches in Union and they have a lot of deer there too. We shall see.

Paper or Pinterest?
I have an old ledger that I put ideas in, torn out magazine pages of things I want to do or make or remember. I use the ledger pages to write things I want to do, ideas I have, my bucket list, etc. Here's a picture of the beauty.
And lately I have discovered Pinterest. I was a slow learner, but now I'm almost addicted. I can get on Pinterest and go from post to post to post, check out the blogs of people who have posted, etc. Oh my. What I love about Pinterest is being able to gather all the things I want to remember onto one site. Much easier than trying to keep pages from falling out of the ledger. But I'll still keep and use the ledger, if for no other reason than because I love paper!
I was in a crafting mood today so decided to put together an idea I saw on Pinterest. I had everything I needed, frames, paint, burlap, buttons and glue. And they turned out just as cute as the one I pinned.
They'll be hanging on my wall until the sale in October.
Speaking of sale, you should see my back yard. Oh the projects I have going out there! I'll have to give you some sneak peeks. But that will be another day....

Spring Show Part ll
Something Special Craft, Antique, and Garden Show
This show started as an extension of our Holiday show nine years ago. We've been doing the holiday show for more than 20 years. We have developed a great following and have awesome customers.
Garden Decor Items: Sometimes it's hard to let go of a great piece like the chippy wire basket.
"Love makes everything bloom" pickets.
This great dress form is not for sale but she sure helps sell aprons.
Love the cream colored dishes.
I tied the burlap around an old bike tire rim and added fabric flowers for a rustic wreath. Take a bird cage, add a vintage flower frog and an old post card and it is the first thing sold.
I saw paper flowers at an antique mall in Camas. They were so tempting I bought a few and I made up a tray full for the show. Who can resist?

Spring Show Part 1
I told Morgan she needed to think of a name for her business to give people something to identify with. We can use it in advertising and events we are in. She thought about it for a day or two and decided to use this: Bobodean's. Where did that come from you ask? Brandon was little when she was born and instead of calling her Morgan Jeanne he could only say Bobodean. It's been one of her many nick names through the years. It will work out better than Maggie Toot the Millie Moot.
The Apple Pies were especially delicious with almond and brown sugar in the crust. I have been collecting tart tins for years and always thought they would be cute with candies in them. Morgan made some chocolate and orange truffles and Maple Walnut Fudge. When we put them together they looked fancy. We made a pretty display and hoped for a good sale. For the first attempt she did pretty well. We have big plans for our Shabulous show in October. More yummy goodies in the fall.
