Now there's the spirit of the day.  I don't have and 4th of July Decorations.  I guess I need to work on that.  It is a great holiday and it needs to be represented.  Next week at Expo I'll start looking.  I do think I have an old postcard or two, I think I'll go find them before the day is over.

Pickin' and Grinnin'

I was in a pickin' mood today so I went to a few of my favorite haunts (i.e. junk piles) and scored!

I found a few of these bike rims, some are sufficiently rusty and some need some rusting, but they are great inspiration boards, and I've even seen one used as a Rustic Christmas Wreath.

Look for them at our Sister Shic Shabulous Sale in October.

I also found another one of these. I've had one that is more square and green, and found one exactly like this today. Look for them as well at our Shabulous Sale.

I've got several rusting projects to do, so I'll post on my process and progress when I do.

A hunting we will go.

I sure enjoy a good day of yard sale hunting.  I had a couple hours this morning after I got off work at 7 am and before I picked up my painters at 9.  Gareld met me at the parking lot and we took off to some great estate sales.  I got aprons for 25 cents, a cookie jar for 50 cents, the cute brown table for $2 and I already have a coat of paint on it.  I got some cowboy boots for $2. Clipboard, rulers, buttons, funnel, silver fork, cutting board and rolling pin for next to nothing.

All 19 of these little loaf pans for just $2 were crying out for BoBo Dean's baking yumminess.

I love a good sturdy drop leaf table.  This is already chippy white.  Gareld and I had a drop leaf when we were first married.  We had it many years.  I miss that little table.

This box of hundreds of tags was only 50 cents.  They are all red and will come in real handy for a lot of things.

This little boy and girl will look sweet in someone's garden.  What a successful hunting trip.

Baby it's cold outside...

It's been cold and rainy around these parts so what's a girl to do but stay indoors and get her craft on!

For me, it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas. I love these little trees I put together from scraps leftover from another project.

I got these frames at a yardsale, of course, eight of them. Here's just a start of what I'm doing with them.

These buttons are in their early stages. Lots of bling left to attach.

This is one of three boxes I'm working on.

I've always like and used old clipboards. Lately they've been popping up on pinterest as ways to display art and pictures, which is what I've always used them for. This one is just in her slip. Much more dressing to put on.

Just a preview of some of the projects I've been working on. What will they end up looking like when they are finished? Hmmm, keep tuning in and find out!

Pumpkin Patch

I can hardly wait to get these seeds in the ground.  I love fall.  It's my favorite season.  I've been planning on growing a pumpkin patch on this property for a long time.  For our fall show we should have quite a selection if all goes well.  The deer are my biggest worry but I've seen a couple great patches in Union and they have a lot of deer there too.  We shall see.
